DAY 01: GUWAHATI AIRPORT – SHILLONG (110 KMS / 3 HRS DRIVE)

Arrive Guwahati Airport ……..your gateway to the beautiful North East!!!! Our local office representative shall meet & greet you @ airport & you shall be transferred to Shillong. Enroute visit UMIAM LAKE - more popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies is the majestic Umiam Lake. Developed upon the reservoir of the Umium Hydro Electric Project, the Water Sports Complex provides a choice of row-boats, paddle-boats, cruise boats, sailing boats, water scooters and speed boats. DAY 02: Local Sightseeing @ SHILLONG

Morning after breakfast, local sightseeing tour of Shillong. Visit the GOLF COURSE of Shillong, which is third oldest golf courses in India, commissioned during British regime by the British Civil Service Officers at a location known as 'Laban' in the year 1898. Also known as 'Gleneagle of the East', it stands amidst pine groves and rhododendron trees at an altitude of 5,200 ft. above sea level. WARDS LAKE is among most popular tourist locations of the hill station. It is an artificial lake that is enveloped within a widespread garden. Also known as Polok Lake, the water body is located in the middle of the city. Along with the Wards Lake is a BOTANICAL GARDEN that houses an extensive range of exotic plants and flowers. DAY 03: SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA (295 KMS / 6.30 HRS DRIVE)

Morning after breakfast you shall be transferred to Kaziranga. Its Declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 for its unique natural environment KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK is situated in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam. It is one of the last areas in eastern India undisturbed by a human presence. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds.

Later on arrival in Kaziranga, check into the hotel. PM – Enjoy a thrilling JEEP Safari in the park with our expert Naturalist. Evening free or one can explore the Crafts Centre & Assamese village on own. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

DAY 04: KAZIRANGA SAFARI

Early morning go for ELEPHANT RIDE @ 5AM. This is one of the most enjoyed safari to explore the wide varieties of wildlife in the Kaziranga National Park. DAY 05: KAZIRANGA – GUWAHATI (241 KMS / 4.30 HRS DRIVE)

Morning post breakfast, drive to GUWAHATI - the commercial capital city of the north-eastern state of Assam, formerly known as Pragjyotishpur (the City of Eastern Light). Fixed between the picturesque hills of the eastern flanks of the Himalayan mountain range, Guwahati houses the political capital of the state, Dispur. Morning after breakfast, check-out & sightseeing tour of KAMAKHYA TEMPLE - Kamrup Kamakhya has been the seat of the powerful tantrik cult in India. The Kalakshetra is named after the great Vaishnava saint SrimantaSankardeva, who was born in 1449 in a village called Alipukhuri near Borduwa in Nagaon district. Morning after breakfast, proceed for an excursion to CHERRAPUNJEE blessed with many breathtaking views of nature in her pristine beauty with cool springs, mind soothing waves of thick green jungle foliage, gurgling mountain streams finding their way through rocks, enthralling milky white waterfalls leaping into deep gorges in a thunderous applause to the record-breaking rainfall that resounds through the valley. DAY 03: SHILLONG – POBITORA (110 KMS / 2.30hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast checks out & proceeds towards Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary.It is a 2.30 hour drive through a road passing by River Brahmaputa, and a small portion of the village of Mayong. It has a dense population of the Great Indian one-horned rhinoceros.Pobitora is running a successful Rhino breeding program within its sanctuary. Places to see in Pobitora include Haduk Hanging Bridge and GarangaBeel pond. Elephant rides and Jeep safaris are major activities which are held by management. Besides 1-horned Rhinoceros, the other animals are Leopard, Wild boar, Barking deer, Wild buffalo etc. 

On arrival check in hotel. Later evening jeep ride or elephant ride in the sanctuary. Evening back to hotel. Overnight stay @ Pobitora National Park.

DAY 04: POBITORA – BOMDILA (enroute TIPI)(304 KMS/ 6.30 hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, visit the MONASTERY - The Tawang Monastery stands on the start of a hill, about 10,000 ft above sea level and has ravines in the south and west, narrow ridge on the north and a gradual slope on the east. It offers an imposing and picturesque view of the Tawang-Chu valley. The monastery appears like a fort from a distance, as if guarding the admirers in the wide valley below. Also visit the WAR MEMORIAL - a 40 foot high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-India War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. The day is free Or you have the option of taking a full day trip to Alexandria.

This morning you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for flight to Aswan.

This morning you disembark in Kom Ombo.

DAY 6: LUXOR (CRUISE) (B,L,D)
Today sail into Luxor.
See two most impressive temples in the Upper Egypt – Karnak and Luxor Temple. The main place of worship in Theban times and built over a period of 1,300 years, the Temple of Karnak is an impressive structure. Continue to the Luxor temple built by Amunhotep III in the 18th dynasty and completed by Ramsee II in the 19th Dynasty.

DAY 7: DISEMBARK CRUISE – DEPART LUXOR (B)
Today disembark cruise, Visit the most famous sites of Luxor’s West Bank.
The necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes. Visit valley of Kings, temple of Hatshepsut and a brief stop at the Colossi of Memnon which marks the site of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.
Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to Luxor airport for your flight back home.

After breakfast visit Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets.( fishermen earn their livelihood by fishing using these massive nets. A whole stretch of the coast along Fort Kochi and Vypeen are dotted with these nets.) Later  proceed to Munnar (5 hrs. journey), Munnar - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country.Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air - yes! After breakfast visit Metupatty Dam for boating (Mattupetty dam and its reservoir  is  located 13 km away from Munnar.  This concrete gravity dam is built between the hill ranges and it is used mainly for water storage for hydroelectric projects. Its reservoir is an idyllic place to enjoy the serene nature. It is also said to be one of the waterholes where the elephants in the region often visit.) top Station (It is about 40 km from Munnar and it is 1,880 meters above sea level. The panoramic view of the Western Ghats and the valley of Theni from Top station is simply breathtaking. ) Echo Point ( . Echo Point  is about 15 km from Munnar. Go there and scream as loud as you can..and wait for a minute. You can hear your echo back! Its quite interesting. If you have kids with you..they will love it. They can experience this natural phenomenon firsthand.) Return back to the hotel . Night halt at Munnar.

Day 4: Munnar - Thekkady:

After breakfast proceed to Thekkady (4 hrs. journey), The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice-scented plantations. In the Periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great apportunities for treks and mountain walks. en route visit the Tea Gardens of Munnar. Arrive Thekkady and check-in at hotel. In the evening take a guided Spice Plantation tour- you will be able to find many spices and some ayuverdic plants. The coffee you drink, as well as the pepper and cardamom you taste  are fresh  & direct from spice plantation . Night halt at Thekkady.

Day 5: Thekkady - Kumarakom:

After breakfast free time for boating at Periyar Lake / Wildlife Sanctuary, The only sanctuary in India where you can visit by boat . It is an perfect example of natures Bounty with great scenic charm , rich biop Diversity .It is sprawled over an area of 925 sq km . Periyar is one of the 27 Tiger reserve in India . Zeolously guarded & efficeiently managed reserve is a repository of rare , endemic & endangered flora & Founa and forms the major Watershed of 2 important rivers of kerela 

After lunch proceed to Kumarakom (4 hrs. journey). Kumarakom, is a sleepy little village on VembanadLake in Kerala. It offers wide variety of flora, exotic sightseeing, boating and fishing experience. The bird sanctuary spread across 14 acres is safe home for many migratory birds like Siberian stork, wild duck etc. They live with other birds in flocks such as darters, herons, egret, waterfowls and cuckoos are fascinating sight for the visitors. Kumarakom is a veritable cornucopia of travel pleasures that will mesmerize your senses. It is truly a paradise on earth. Rajamala, part of Eravikulam national park, is located at about 15 kms from Munnar.  This region is the natural habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragas hylocres). It was converted to a national park to provide a safe sanctuary  for the already endangered species of Nilgiri Tahr. After lunch the day is free to explore the natural beauty of Munnar. Day 1 :Arrival

Once all guests are on board, The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda sets sail along the main waterway on Vembanad Lake and enters the Alleppey canal. Guest could actively participate with the local fisherman and understand the life cycle of "karimeen" also called as "pearl spot". Lunch will be served on board.The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda sails along the scenic waterways for four hours and returns to the Vembanad Lake in time to watch the sunset.

Later in the evening, guests enjoy a performance of the highly ritualized "Kathakali" dance which tells stories from the ancient Hindu epics - Ramayana and Mahabarata. Performances begin with the application of elaborate makeup which is based in traditional Ayurvedic principles.

The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda will anchor for the night at the Vembanad Lake jetty. Dinner on board.

Day 2 :On board The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda, with a rice boat excursion

The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda will sail from the Vembanad Lake jetty and head south, towards Alleppey. Breakfast will be served on board.Sailing through scenic backwaters, guests can observe life along these "water highways" while passing through one of the few areas in the world where farming is done below sea level.

Guests will be transferred to a traditional rice boat to navigate through the narrower sections of the backwaters. For the next few hours, guests will observe and experience a way of life unique to this region, accompanied by a guide. This section of the cruise includes a visit to the half-statue of Lord Buddha at Karumadi.

Later in the day, guests return to The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda where lunch will be served as the boat passes through picturesque stretches of the backwaters on the way back to Alleppey, known as the "Venice of the East". The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda will return to Vembanad Lake, where guests can enjoy Vrinda Vadiyam a musical fusion of classical instruments. Motor Vessel Vrinda will anchor for the night at the Vembanad Lake jetty. Dinner on board.

Day 3:On board The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda, with a rice boat excursion

The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda will sail from the Vembanad Lake jetty and head South, past Kanjippadam. Vrinda will anchor near Chambakulam where guests will transfer onto the rice boat once again for a pre-lunch sightseeing excursion.Guests will visit St. Mary’s Church, established by St. Thomas in 1721 and Sree Bhagavathy Kshetram – a 100-year old Hindu temple to Mother Goddess - at Nedumudy. Guests can also explore the Chambakulam snake boat yard, which displays one of the traditional long snake boats used in races.To further the understanding and appreciation of this experience, a qualified guide will be present on board for the full day after cruising through the backwaters in the afternoon,

The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda will return to Vembanad Lake, where guests can enjoy a "Mohiniattam" recital on board. This classical dance form, distinctive to Kerala, is also called the 'Dance of the Enchantress'. Dancers attired in beautiful traditional costumes perform with slow, graceful movements and highly emotive expressions. Dinner on board.

Day 4:Departure

The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda will sail North along the main waterway channel on the Vembanad Lake and head South, past Pallathurathy.

Breakfast will be served on board; following which guests will check out at 10 am and will be transported by air-conditioned vehicle back to Cochin.
